Last January 5, 2011, the police captured Manidlangan inside their residence at Lake Danao who has been suspected to be the leader of the Motortrade Robbery dated December 31, 2010.
On the 7th of January 2011, the wife of abducted, Janet Manidlangan came to Power FM in its program Serbisyo Publiko to seek for help for the unjust arrest of her husband. With this, the anchorman Brod. Huge Hugo, reached through phone the Regional Director of the Commission on Human Rights, Region 8, Atty. Paquito Nacino and promised on air that he will be sending his investigators to Ormoc to investigate about the case.
And yesterday, three (3) special investigators of the CHR came to Power FM namely Mr. Praxedes Eria, Ronaldo Diaz and Santiago Superable for the purpose of investigation where they first took time to get details in the said FM Station regarding the case.
According to the investigators after a conversation with the OIC of Police Precinct 1, PInsp. Shevert Alvin Machete and abducted Ruel Manidlangan, they will at once make a report so to be able to submit the said report to their legal council and thus give an abrupt action for the said case.
PInsp. Machete however expressed his gratitude for the time the Commission on Human Rights gave in visiting his office.
